MONOCHROME's UA-cam channel reflects the same in-depth, borderline educational, approach as we have at the website. MONOCHROME's online magazine was founded in 2006 and, since its foundation, has had a strong focus on Haute Horlogerie, artisanal (independent) watchmaking and good explanations of the lovely marvels that mechanical wristwatches are.
IN-DEPTH: Get Ready for Paris 2024, And Explore Omega Timekeeping for the Olympics
@OMEGA #omegawatches #paris2024 #monochromewatches
Today, MONOCHROME Watches is travelling to Biel, Switzerland at the Omega museum, delving into a captivating topic: Omega's journey in timekeeping for the Olympic Games.
Few names command as much respect in the realm of timekeeping as Omega. While the story of Omega begins in 1848, when Louis Brandt established a workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds, timekeeping at Omega took shape at the dawn of the 20th century. Omega's commitment to precision found a fitting stage in the world of sports, as early as 1905 when the brand started to serve as timekeeper for sporting events in Switzerland and abroad.
In 1932, Omega was appointed as the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games, marking the beginning of a longstanding partnership with the world's most prestigious sporting event. Since then, Omega has played an integral role in capturing the triumphs and achievements of athletes on the global stage, utilizing state-of-the-art timing technology to ensure fairness and accuracy in competition.
As you can imagine with the acceleration of the pace of technological progress, things are dramatically evolved over the past decades… To better understand the latest developments in the field, we’ll take you in a small village of the Swiss Jura, Corgémont. It is there that the most advanced technology in term of sports timekeeping is being developed and deployed to time sporting events all over the world… there we’ll take a look at the latest technologies, high-speed cameras and the more advanced data analysis techniques including sensors, GPS tracking and computer algorithm.
Get ready to discover the entire technology deployed by Omega Timekeeping (Swatch Group's Swiss Timing) for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics.

@louisvuitton #louisvuitton #louisvuittonescale #monochromewatches With the launch of the Tambour integrated luxury sports watch last year, Louis Vuitton introduced a whole new strategy for its watch division. No more linked to fashion, the brand wants to be part of the higher-end watchmaking league, thanks to its manufacture, La Fabrique du Temps. Now, it's time for the second step, with the r...

The design can be polarizing, but one undeniable fact remains: these watches are truly spectacular. The debut of the inaugural Astronomia in 2014 caused quite a stir at Baselworld. Переглядів 14 тис.Місяць тому
@arminstrom #arminstrom #monochromewatches One week, seven days, 168 hours…. That’s how long the Armin Strom One Week will keep running! The name is a very logical and self-explanatory one, that much is certain. But there’s a lot more to the Armin Strom One Week First Edition, as it’s officially called, than just a very long power reserve. The collection was first introduced in 2010 but has bee...

Monochrome Watches, your blogs and detailed watch reviews have helped me with plenty of watch purchases. Keep up the good work 👍🏼
But you still have to service the thing every few years though.
No comment about bracelet???
Such an amazing history in creating history. Think of all the decisions made by their timing equipment to create champions. Amazing 👏
Can you choose an even worse song? I can almost watch thr video.
Price
Nice watch. But bracelet needs to be tapered more. Its a little too thick for the size of the face.
So Oyster case and bracelet with Overseas hands and date :-)
Please create a chronometric grade (keeping accurate time within +/- 2 sec/day) overseas with a stop seconds.
Introduce the people who are speaking at the bottom of the video with a name and function. Would have been more professional. Great video thanks!
It’s done at 01:51 there’s the name and function of Zenith’s spokesman
Vacheron (VC) has Historiques American 1921 model, AP has it's unique (Re)master 02
I'm sure it's fascinating engineering but by god it's an ugly watch, looks like the scales in my doctors surgery 40yrs ago.
AP will surprise us all, and come up with a Royal Oak with dial that is offset.
If the common was was any smart, they wouldn't shop anywhere but Citizen for a watch. Its basically a high-tech watch making company that offers all the specifics and finishes of luxurious brands for 1/100th of the price.
I bought my Speedmaster GMT in March. Wore it everyday and never lose or advance time. I set it on my cell phone time before wearing. I own many mechanical watches before this watch and this being my second Omega even outperformed my older Speedmaster and other Swiss and Japanese watches. I don’t have a Grand Seiko - yet. So not able to compare with the Spring drive.
Really beautiful...
Mechanical ingenuity at its finest.
E' meraviglioso!
Where is the clause on the PloProf?
I love Omega Watches... I fact I have trusted them with my life BUT would any of those gentlemen join me for a pulled pork BBQ? Ribs, pork chops, pigs feet and the classic a beef bacon and cheese burger?
I mean that Bugatti one and that godfather one are absolute toys I mean I've seen toys with the same kind of mechanics to sell either one of those coastal million dollars you've got to be an absolute brain-dead idiot to buy that b*******
I get it they're cool and flashy looking and interesting other than the diamonds and little bit of gold I don't understand why they would be anywhere near a million dollars they're more like toys than anything I would say at the most 10,000 and that's even going way too high
Freaking $5 toy in a wrist watch for $500000😂
nice
I have a PRS 516 quartz version from 2011 and the seconds hand still sits accurately on 12 🎉
U can wear this deep in the hoods and don‘t get robbed cause the guys think it‘s a 10$ watch. I like this kind of understatement.
Rose gold ones look gorgeous! Just sooo much more expensive. I personally have my eye set on 42 Sunset Beige for my next watch ❤
Not
Main gripe as an owner myself is the hour and minute takes one FULL wind to move an hour. Good thing theres the 10 -12 date movement to push forward the date or im fucked without a watch winder
Piece of Art brava
Elegant, but the price is ridiculously expensive for what it is.
It’s not a watch or jewelry brand. If they make it. I appreciate only. But to purchase no
I believe no man can say no to #mamacoo
Zenith glashutte and jlc needs more attention
I think it’s awesome
Beautiful but 39 mm is too small.
Looks like an omega constellation
I am a man and I sometimes wear the silver seduttori. It somehow looks very cool, suave, specially when using very manly attire. It has some kind of magic.
Great to see Daniel Wellington homages being made at last.
Very beautiful and interesting watch. A real treat for a collector who wants to display his interest in an extension of one dimension.
Not really interested in a watch from someone selling overpriced handbags.
Great watches for the price ,thanks ❤️👍🏴
Very well done. Restrained and handsome piece.
No matter how good LV's watches are, LV is not a watchmaking brand. Imagine if Vacheron Constantin gets into handbag business like LV getting into watch business, it just doesn't fit. It is actually weird. The image is already off from its original brand. Apple is a good example. What happened when it tried to get into car business? It failed! Just stick with your original business and don't dip your toes into something else.
It's 2024 already. I really don't mind if the product is good.
Do you research. this watch house has done incredible things Enrico barbasini and Michele Nevas have had their hands on some of the most important watches ever made…
What is the different between automatic and mechanical? By shaking will the watch move?
Yes, if you keep wearing an automatic watch every day, you don't need to wind it manually. The spring winds itself using your natural arm movements throughout the day.
@@xteevee How about mechanical manual winding and not automatic self winding? Will it stop if you just wind once and wear for few days?
Price ?
It’s at the end of the video 02:33
I would not be surprised if these found their way in top art museums.
For me it has to be on a tropic strap
Black dial is obviously better... don't be a sheep A Lange...
Hello, Nice watch and brand that I discovered. Very good video presentation as well. I have two practical questions please : 1/ Do you think this model is compatible with a thin wrist of 15 cm in circumference and 5 cm wide with an oval shape? 2/ Are the blue hour indices clearly visible in daylight? Thanks for your advices.
Hello. The 40mm diameter should be ok for your wrist. But as always, better try the watch before buying.
@@Monochrome-watches Thank you for your prompt response. I do not have a reseller near my home. Can you also tell me the distance between the horns along the length and not the width please? Thank you so much
@@herveguitard1823unfortunately we don’t have this watch with us anymore for the review. So we can’t measure. Sorry…
